Bar Rafaeli is an internationally acclaimed Israeli supermodel who began her modelling career at the age of eight months, featuring in commercials. Rafaeli was born in Hod Hasharon on June 4, 1985. She has led campaigns for brands such as Garnier, Escada, Desigual, Subaru and Gap. She hosted the first season of The X Factor Israel in 2013 and has also dabbled in acting including co-starring in Israeli TV drama series Pick Up in 2005, starring in American-Israeli film Session in 2011, and in 2013, starring as a Mossad assassin in a French-Israeli movie.
Rafaeli has been criticized for not serving in the IDF. She has also featured in several controversial adverts including a commercial for Carolina Lemke Berlin in which she is seen pole-dancing, an advert for the Hoodies clothing company in which she features as male puppet's fantasy, and a racy Super Bowl commercial for GoDaddy.com which features a close-up kiss of Rafaeli and a nerdy character.
Refaeli famously dated Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio for over four years until the two called it quits in 2011. In March 2015, she announced her engagement to businessman Adi Ezra.
